Dick Green
Founder and Chairman

Responsible for Briefing.com’s strategic outlook

Dick Green has been a leader in market analysis for over 25 years. After graduating from Harvard in 1979, he became President of MMS International where for the next 13 years he grew the company to $45 million in revenue with 160 employees in 23 offices worldwide.

In 1992, Dick founded Briefing.com and has since grown the company to over 60 employees with offices in Chicago and the San Francisco Bay Area.

In 2005, Smart Money Magazine named Dick Green a top market mover on its annual Power 30 list.

Damon Southward
Chief Market Strategist

Oversees team of fundamental, technical and special situations analysts

Since 1996, Damon has provided analysis over the Briefing.com platform and has contributed to the implementation of new products as the company’s market coverage has expanded.

He currently manages a team of more than two dozen analysts working across the entire spectrum of Briefing.com services and provides commentary on the Briefing Trader product.

Damon is a graduate of Stanford University and is located in Chicago.

Patrick J. O'Hare
Chief Market Analyst

Provides commentary and analysis on assorted market topics.

Patrick has been with Briefing.com since early 1997. His analysis can be found on the Page One, The Big Picture, Market Outlook, and In Play pages.

He is quoted regularly by the financial press. Patrick has also appeared on CNBC, The Nightly Business Report, FOX Business Network, CNN International, Reuters TV, and WCIU’s First Business program.

A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Patrick is located in Chicago and can be reached at pohare@briefing.com.

Jim Busch
Senior Managing Analyst

Manages creation and dissemination of technical and fundamental content

Jim manages the dissemination of content across Briefing.com’s various products, specifically as it relates to technical and fundamental analysis.

He also contributes content to Briefing.com’s Institutional and Trader products.

Jim joined Briefing.com in late 2001 after working for three years at CCBN and Pioneer Group, and has degrees from The College of William & Mary and the London School of Economics.

Kimberly DuBord
Director of Research

Provides original research and analysis on multiple sectors and industries with a particular focus on commodities and emerging markets.

As the Director of Research, Kimberly also manages a team of research analysts and oversees the Briefing Professional and Institutional products.

Prior to joining Briefing.com in 2003, Kimberly spent over 10 years on the buy-side at Wachovia as well as the investment management firm Charter Financial Group. She then spent nearly five years on the international equity research staff at Driehaus Capital Management.

Kimberly received an MBA in Finance from DePaul University.

Scott Smith, CMT
Senior Technical Analyst

Specializes in technical analysis of equities and market indices

Scott identifies technical trading opportunities for the Briefing Trader product. He authors the Swing Trader column and advises on larger, developing technical trends for the Briefing Professional and Briefing Institutional products.

He is recognized by the Market Technicians Association as a Charted Market Technician.
After graduating from the University of Notre Dame, Scott began reading charts as a clerk on the floor of the NYSE and at the OTC trade desk at Spear, Leeds & Kellogg.

Robert V. Green
Senior Investment Strategist

Provides original technology research and analysis

Robert provides a unique style of fundamental research by using his entrepreneurial and technical background to focus on long term investments.

This unique combination of financial analysis, technology, and entrepreneurial expertise provides a perspective that traditional Wall Street sell-side analysts often lack. Robert has been with Briefing.com since it was founded in 1992 and his commentary appears weekly on the Ahead of the Curve column.

He is a graduate of Harvard and is located in Boston.

Chris Borgmeyer, CFA
Director of Live Analysis

Oversees live analysis and leads Options coverage

Chris is responsible for all market coverage on Briefing.com’s popular Live In Play page.

He joined Briefing.com in 2005 after working on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) where he was an equity options Market Maker for an independent trading firm.

Chris received a degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska, an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and is a CFA Charterholder.

He is located in Chicago.

Robert Reid
Senior Equity Analyst

Researches Emerging Growth Themes

Robert focuses on identifying Emerging Growth opportunities.

He joined Briefing.com in 2000, after contributing to a research team at Salomon Smith Barney that was ranked No.1 by Institutional Investor magazine.

He also spent time on the buy-side at Irmco Asset Management.

Robert is a graduate of Indiana University and is located in Chicago.

Brett Manning
Senior Market Analyst

Brett contributes to the Briefing Trader product with a focus on top-down, intermarket methods that rely heavily on technical and sentiment analysis. He also manages the Industry Insight column and publishes frequently in the ETF Daily Notes. In addition, Brett contributes to the Institutional and Professional products by virtue of his heavy involvement in Briefing.com's strategic market outlook.

Prior to joining Briefing.com in 2005, he came to market analysis from an unconventional path, including a background in evolutionary sciences and analytic philosophy at the University of Florida. He became involved in the markets through the lens of computer programming, creating a number of automated futures trading systems over a period of several years. As a trader, he has experience trading diverse markets, including currencies, equities, and commodities.

Scott Atkinson
Senior Research Analyst - Fixed Income

Scott provides daily commentary on fixed income events in addition to authoring longer term research pieces. He focuses on relative value plays between Treasuries, municipals and corporate bonds while incorporating both short and long term market views.

Prior to Briefing.com, Scott worked in fixed-income operations at Banker’s Trust. He also has experience as a Credit Analyst for SunTrust and spent 8 years with a wealth management company in Chicago where he became the Head Municipal Bond Trader and served as an Assistant Portfolio Manager. Scott did his undergraduate work in Economics and Political Science at Vanderbilt University and holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.

Jeffrey Rosen, Ph.D.
Economist

As the resident economist at Briefing.com, Jeffrey is developing a large-scale macroeconomic forecasting model that allows him to analyze current economic trends and determine their future impacts on the economy. His analyses can be found in the Economic Data Previews, Economic Data Reviews, Economic Insight, and The Big Picture pages.

Prior to joining Briefing.com, Jeffrey spent two years at AEGON where he provided long-term economic forecasts and analyzed current economic problems for the investment division. While working toward his Ph.D. he held a position as adjunct professor at Ohio Wesleyan University teaching econometrics.

Jeffrey graduated with a Ph.D. in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics from Ohio State University.

David M. Campione, CFA
Research Analyst

David joined Briefing in 2006 as an analyst after working on the floor of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) as an index options market maker for an independent trading firm.

David received a BA in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and is a CFA charter holder.
