Buying interest on the back of strong GDP data from China and comments from Fed Chairman Bernanke had the major equity averages up more than 1% today, but that gain was slashed as stocks gradually descended in afternoon trade.
After the close, MAR, UFPI and YUM, are the most notable names scheduled to report earnings results.
Futures are lower after hours: S&P 500 futures are -0.36 from fair value of 1313.56 and Nasdaq100 futures -2.01 from fair value of 2349.01.
Tomorrow morning before the open, three economic reports are scheduled to be released: 1) Initial claims (Consensus 410K) and continuing claims (Consensus 3700K0, 2) Retail sales (Consensus -0.2%) and Retail sales ex-auto (Consensus 0.0%) and 3) and PPI (Consensus-0.2%) and Core PPI (Consensus 0.2%).
